Update: This is for information to all concerned that MTS examination held on 27-09-2015 & Postman-Mailguard examination held on 13-12-2015 of U.P. Circle, conducted as per Notification No. Rectt/M-12/PM-MG & MTS/DR/6 dated 14/15-05-2015 are hereby cancelled by the competent authority due to unavaoidable reasons. UP Post Office Result 2015-2016 will be declared soon. Most expectedly, the result will be declared in last week of 3rd or 4th week of May2016. As per reports, Lakhs of candidates appeared for the examination that was held across various centres in Uttar Pradesh. The need of these posts has increased in Indian post office with time.

The selection procedure for India Post recruitment of Postman/Mail Guard and MTS post will be purely on the basis of UP Post Office Exam 2015-2016 Merit List that will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the Aptitude test.

The written examination for UP Post Office Recruitment 2015 for Postman/Mail Guard and MTS Posts was of 100 marks which included subjects like General knowledge, Mathematics, English, Hindi Language. The time allotted for aptitude examination was of 120 minutes both for Postman/Mail Guard and MTS post.

Department of Posts, Uttar Pradesh (UP) conducted written examination in December 2015 to fill up the 932 posts of Postman, Mail Guard and Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) in the postal units, RMS units and Administrative Units in Uttar Pradesh Circle to give postal assistance to the State. The MTS examination was held on 27 September 2015.

As per the official notification, the marks obtained in the aptitude test will be considered as the final result after which the Document verification process will commence.

Complete Selection Procedure UP Post Office 2015 for Postman, Mail Guard & MTS Posts

The selection will be purely on the basis of Merit List, which will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Aptitude test separately for each cadre of Postman, Mailguard, MTS (Administrative Office) and MTS (Subordinate Office). Accordingly, a common Merit List for whole U.P Circle for each cadre shall be prepared in view of consolidated vacancies of such cadre.

It is further stated that if two or more candidates secure equal marks in Aptitude test and they are standing in the last position in the merit list then it is clearly stated that the candidate senior in age will be considered for selection.

Selected candidates will be allotted to the divisions as per their preferences mentioned in OMR Application Form, based on their position in the merit list and availability of vacancies. Such candidate who is not able to get the allotment in any of the division of his/her preference because of his/her merit, he/she will be allotted to the division where vacancy exists.

If a candidate does not fill his/her preference for the Division in Column No 23 of OMR Application, it will be presumed that he/she is applying for all the divisions/units of U.P. Circle equally and he will be considered for recruitment in any Division/Unit at the discretion of Recruiting Authority.
