The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) providers that are sponsoring an AMA PRA Category 1 ™ program do not need to request pre-approval from the AOA to publicize that. WHAT WE DO The AMA is leading meaningful innovation to enable a better health care system for patients, physicians and the country.
- Sponsors generously provide the cash awards and trophies for the top winners of our National Leadership Conference (NLC) competitive events program and other conference activities.
- An intro-pilot program is available to all chartered clubs. Qualified pilots from chartered clubs may participate. Instructors can train non-AMA members to fly airplanes during a time period of 60 consecutive days, and students are covered by the liability provisions of the AMA insurance policy.

The AMA Committee on Student Affairs Sponsorship Program provides support of student-run initiatives targeted at career advancement of medical students. The AMA allocates a budget annually for support of this sponsorship and all Alberta-based medical students are eligible to apply.
